The Story
Clarence has spent his whole life face-down in the dirt — the only Chinese kid in a redneck town where being different is a crime punishable daily. With a timid mother who cannot protect him and nothing but a faded polaroid of a father he never knew, Clarence builds himself a mythology: that man with the gun is who he was meant to become.
When Mo, a powerful Triad boss, rolls through town, Clarence sees his blueprint. Using raw ingenuity and his best friend's connections to a local Native reserve, he parlays small-town hustle into a one-way ticket to the big city — and into the inner circle of a criminal empire.
But the hunger that drove him here has no bottom. Every act of power costs him a piece of himself — and the consequences he's outrun are closing in.
